Benesov, Czech Republic – 8 January 2010. Mavel, a.s. announced the commissioning of the 1.7 MW Dobrzen Hydroelectric Power Plant (the “Dobrzen HPP”) on the Odra River in the town of Dobrzen Wielki, Poland. The owner of the project is PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A. Warszawa (formerly ESP SA Warszawa).
Benešov, Czech Republic – 4 June 2009. Mavel, a.s. announced that has signed a contract with Vassa Engineering Oy to provide two Kaplan turbines for Kuokkastenskoski hydroelectric power plant (“Kuokkastenskoski HPP”) in Finland.
Benešov, Czech Republic – 27 October 2008. Mavel, a.s. announced the successful commissioning of the Pontey I and Pontey II hydroelectric power plants near Chantillon, in northwest Italy – 25 kilometers south of the Matterhorn and 160 kilometers north of Milan.

Mavel, a.s. announced that it was awarded a contract for turbines and related technology for the Kayalik hydroelectric power plant (“Kayalik HPP”) located in the Erzurum Region of Turkey. The contract was signed in June 2007 with the project owner Akua Enerji Uretim A.S.
Benešov, Czech Republic – 21 March 2008. Mavel, a.s. announced the commissioning of two small hydro plants in Finland utilizing Mavel turbines. Mavel was initially contracted for the supply on 18 October 2006 by Vaasa Engineering Ltd. Both projects – the Alasorsakoski and Ylasorsakoski hydro-electric power plants – were rehabilitations of existing plants and both are owned by the company Savon Voima Oy.

Mavel, a.s. announced that it signed on 18 October two contracts with Vaasa Engineering for the supply of turbines and related equipment for the Alasorsakoski and Ylasorsakoski hydro-electric power plants in Finland. Benešov, Czech Republic – 20 June 2006. Mavel, a.s. announced that it successfully commissioned the second horizontal turbine at the Lesichovo hydro power plant in Bulgaria. Mavel had been contracted last year to repair the first unit after extensive flooding in August 2005 and to deliver the second turbine for the planned 3.2 MW plan.
Benešov, Czech Republic – 20 April 2006. Mavel, a.s. announced that it has completed the successful installation and final testing of three MT10 Siphon Turbines in Poland. The MT10 Turbine is a new addition to Mavel’s MT line of easy to install micro turbine sets. The MT10 Turbine can be installed on existing weirs or gates with little to no civil excavation. Further, these micro turbines do not need a powerhouse. The units are sold as a complete package with turbine, generator, inlet, draft tube and electric and control systems.
Benešov, Czech Republic – 20 April 2006. Mavel, a.s. announced that one its MT5 Turbines was installed adjacent to the historic Togetsukyo Bridge in Kyoto, Japan. The installation site has head of 1.34 meters and flow of 0.53 cubic meters per second. The installed power is 4.3 kW, enough to illuminate the historic bridge and the nearby hillside.
