Benesov, Czech Republic – 19 December 2014. M a v e l, a.s. (“Mavel”) has announced the commissioning of a new HPP on the Vltava River. The Vltava River is the Czech Republic’s longest river, famous for its 18 bridges including the iconic Charles Bridge in Prague. Hluboka HPP is also near the 13th century gothic Hluboka Castle, considered one of the most beautiful castles of the Czech Republic. The site was officially commissioned in August 2014.

Benešov, Czech Republic – 7 August 2013. Mavel, a.s. confirmed that for the second time in three years the powerhouse of the Lovocice – Pistany Hydroelectric Power Plant (Lovocise HPP) was submerged as the River Elbe flooded its banks during the extreme flooding that hit Europe in July of this year. When the waters finally receded the powerhouse restarted without incident within hours of operators reentry to the plant.
Benešov, Czech Republic – 30 November 2012. Mavel, a.s. announced the successful commissioning of the Grodnenskaya Hydroelectric Power Project (“Grodnenskaya HPP”) in October 2012. Mavel signed a contract to provide turbines and related technology for the low head greenfield project located in the Republic of Belarus in July 2009. Financing was provided by the Czech Export Bank.

Mavel, a.s. announced the formal commissioning on September 24, 2010 of the Lovosice-Pistany I. hydroelectric power project (“Lovosice HPP”) on the River Elbe in the Litomerice District of the Czech Republic. The greenfield hydro project, owned by RenoEnergie a.s. utilizes four Mavel PIT turbines.
Benešov, Czech Republic – 11 January 2010. Mavel, a.s. announced the successful commissioning of the Finnholm hydroelectric power plant. Mavel had been awarded a contract by Vaasa Engineering Oy of Finland to supply one double regulated Kaplan bulb turbine to the Finnholm site, on the Ähtävänjoki River in the Western part of middle Finland and owned by Oy Herrfors Ab.
