Benešov, Czech Republic – 11 January 2010.  Mavel, a.s. announced that the hydroelectric powerplant Bugoye (“Bugoye HPP”) was commissioned on October 7, 2009 by the President of the Republic of Uganda H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The new 13 MW power plant is located on the Mubuku River at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains in the Kasese district of western Uganda.

Benešov, Czech Republic – 13 August 2008.  Mavel, a.s. announced that it has signed a contract with TRONDER POWER LIMITED from Uganda to supply turbines and related technology for the new Bugoye hydroelectric power plant in Uganda.
