Benešov, Czech Republic – 20 November 2010.   Mavel, a.s. announced the formal commissioning on September 24, 2010 of the Lovosice-Pistany I. hydroelectric power project (“Lovosice HPP”) on the River Elbe in the Litomerice District of the Czech Republic. The greenfield hydro project, owned by RenoEnergie a.s. utilizes four Mavel PIT turbines.

Benešov, Czech Republic and Boston, MA – 9 August 2010.  Mavel, a.s. announced that the commissioning of the 11.3 MW Upper Clowhom Hydroelectric Power Plant (Upper Clowhom HPP) on Clowhom River in Southwest British Columbia was successfully completed .

Benešov, Czech Republic – 11 January 2010. Mavel, a.s. announced the successful commissioning of the Finnholm hydroelectric power plant. Mavel had been awarded a contract by Vaasa Engineering Oy of Finland to supply one double regulated Kaplan bulb turbine to the Finnholm site, on the Ähtävänjoki River in the Western part of middle Finland and owned by Oy Herrfors Ab.

Benešov, Czech Republic – 11 January 2010.  Mavel, a.s. announced that the hydroelectric powerplant Bugoye (“Bugoye HPP”) was commissioned on October 7, 2009 by the President of the Republic of Uganda H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The new 13 MW power plant is located on the Mubuku River at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains in the Kasese district of western Uganda.

Benesov, Czech Republic – 8 January 2010.  Mavel, a.s. announced the commissioning of the 1.7 MW Dobrzen Hydroelectric Power Plant (the “Dobrzen HPP”) on the Odra River in the town of Dobrzen Wielki, Poland. The owner of the project is PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A. Warszawa (formerly ESP SA Warszawa).
