Benešov, Czech Republic – 24 October 2006.  Mavel, a.s. announced that it has successfully commissioned its first installation in North America – the 270 kW site in Fergus, Ontrario owned by Fergus Mill Power Corp.

Benešov, Czech Republic – 20 June 2006.  Mavel, a.s. announced that it successfully commissioned the second horizontal turbine at the Lesichovo hydro power plant in Bulgaria. Mavel had been contracted last year to repair the first unit after extensive flooding in August 2005 and to deliver the second turbine for the planned 3.2 MW plan.

Benešov, Czech Republic – 20 April 2006.  Mavel, a.s. announced that it has completed the successful installation and final testing of three MT10 Siphon Turbines in Poland. The MT10 Turbine is a new addition to Mavel’s MT line of easy to install micro turbine sets.  The MT10 Turbine can be installed on existing weirs or gates with little to no civil excavation. Further, these micro turbines do not need a powerhouse. The units are sold as a complete package with turbine, generator, inlet, draft tube and electric and control systems.

Benešov, Czech Republic – 20 April 2006.  Mavel, a.s. announced that one its MT5 Turbines was installed adjacent to the historic Togetsukyo Bridge in Kyoto, Japan. The installation site has head of 1.34 meters and flow of 0.53 cubic meters per second. The installed power is 4.3 kW, enough to illuminate the historic bridge and the nearby hillside.
