Benešov, Czech Republic – 21 May 2003.  Mavel a.s., a Czech engineering and manufacturing company for small hydroelectric power plants, announced the successful commissioning of the 3.3 MW Kosciuszko hydro-electric power plant located on the Wisla River near Krakow, Poland. The new plant was completed at the end of April and has installed power of 3.3 MW using a water flow 100 m3/s.

Benešov, Czech Republic – 19 May 2003.  Mavel a.s., a Czech producer of technology for hydroelectric power plants, announced the successful refurbishment of the Benatky Nad Jezerou hydro-electric power plant. The refurbishment, which was completed in the first quarter of 2003, increased the installed power by 60% to 900 kW from 560kW.
